Garlic Hummus

Need a perfect summer snack?

I will say, this was trial and error. I’ve made hummus a few other times before and I didn’t love it. But this, oh my goodness this is exactly what I’ve been wanting!

It’s perfectly smooth and creamy! I can’t wait to share it with my family.

Ingredients:

2 cans garbanzo beans

5 large cloves of garlic

1/2 cup tahini

Juice of one lemon

1 tablespoon olive oil

5 ice cubes

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 pepper

Topping

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

5 garlic cloves chopped and sautéed

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

How to:

Rinse two cans of garbanzo beans in warm water to clean them.

Add the beans and 5 cloves of garlic to pot and cook on high for 20 minutes.

Once do, drain the beans and garlic of the water and wait for them to cook or rinse them again in cold water until they are cooled down.

Add to a blender or food processor with your lemon juice, tahini, ice, and seasoning and mix until smooth.

(The ice helps keep the mixture smooth and creamy!)

Then pour your hummus into a bowl.

Sautéed Garlic

Chop and cook your garlic in your 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook until slightly browned. Once it cools a little bit add it to the top of your hummus as needed and enjoy!
