Fried Chicken Sandwich


BUTTERMILK HAMBURGER BUNS


  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk mixed with 1/4 cup water

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 large egg beaten

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3 to 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour



  • Mix all dry ingredients

  • Add wet ingredients

  • Mix well and Kneed for 5 minutes

  • Let rise for 1 hour

  • Break into 8 pieces and roll them into even balls

  • Let rise again on tray for another 30 minutes to hour before baking

  • Brush each bun in your egg wash

  • Bake on 400 for



CHICKEN

BRINE

  • 2 cups butter milk

  • 1/2 cup pickle juice

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • Sprinkle salt and pepper



BREADING

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp oregano (picked from garden and dried)

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp deliciou smoky bbq bacon seasoning (this can be any bbq rub you like)



  • Soak in brine for 1-24 hours

  • Take out of brine and coat in flour mixture

  • Cook in the la



SAUCE

  • 1/2 Mayo

  • 2 tablespoons mustard

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well



FRIES

  • 5 golden or russet potatoes

  • Chopped into thin long pieces (fries)

  • Coated in olive oil, salt, and pepper

  • Cook in air fryer at 400 for 30 minutes
